The outer fabric is a beautiful soft blue vintage velvet, salvaged from an old curtain and given a new lease of life. Its subtle sheen and sumptuous texture bring depth and a lovely softness, while inside, William Morris' 'Golden Lily' by Sanderson, an absolute 1970's classic icon which adds a generous dose of pattern and personality. 

Together, the two fabrics strike a rather lovely balance: understated blue from the outside, a mass of golden leaves and curling foliage within. Switched off, it's a tactile pop of colour. Switched on, the warm lining comes into its own, bringing the pattern to life and casting a cosy glow.

Both fabrics have a past, and that's rather the point, no mass-produced matchy-matchy here, just two beautiful fabrics that happen to be rather good together.

This 30cm drum shade is ideal for bedside tables, sideboards, reading corners or anywhere that could do with a little colour, texture and something a bit different.
