I've always been drawn to fabric, colour and interesting patterns. Over the years I found myself collecting designer remnants, vintage textiles, forgotten haberdashery and beautiful fabric scraps that were simply too good to leave behind.
The trouble was that many of the pieces weren't quite large enough to become clothing, cushions or larger sewing projects. But they were too special to sit in a cupboard gathering dust and I definitely didn't want it to end up in landfill
That's how Seriously Shady began... Giving fabrics a second chance to shine and doing a little bit to protect the planet. And what began as a creative outlet quickly became an obsession. There's something incredibly satisfying about transforming a forgotten remnant or vintage find into a piece that brings warmth, personality and joy into someone's home.
Every shade is handmade using carefully sourced reclaimed, vintage or surplus fabrics, which means most designs are produced in very small numbers and many are completely unique.
Seriously Shady is about celebrating colour, character and craftsmanship while giving beautiful materials the spotlight they deserve.
