This one started life as someone else's lamp, decades before it was mine.

This is a proper old 1950s shape wired frame, all soft curves and character, it looked so tired and forgotten when I got it. So I stripped it right back, gave it a fresh coat of paint, and underneath it's like new again. A little piece of history with all the wobbles taken out and none of the soul lost.

Then came the fun part. I've hand-covered the whole thing in the prettiest pure white broderie anglaise... soft, textural, and the sort of fabric that looks even better with the light glowing through it of an evening. It's finished at the neck with a sage green satin bow, tied by hand, I mean, every good comeback deserves a nice bit of ribbon.

The result is something that looks like it's always belonged exactly where you hang it, vintage bones, brand new finish, one beautiful piece of embroidery anglaise given a proper second chance.
