A handmade embroidered floral lampshade in gold linen with a soft sky blue lining, a generous 30cm drum shade, hand finished in the UK for table lamps or ceiling pendants.

Without a doubt a statement shade, but a quiet beauty rather than a bold shouter... It begins with softly shimmering gold linen and a sky blue lining that seems to capture the light even before the lamp is switched on. Then comes the embroidery. Delicate flowers and trailing leaves are stitched onto the finest almost translucent net, as though they're floating rather than sitting on the fabric. The palette is wonderfully understated, soft apricot, gentle coral, sky blue, fresh greens and the quietest hint of sage.

It's beautifully detailed without ever feeling busy. The sort of piece that settles into a room as though it's always belonged there.

Handmade as a generous 30cm drum, the sky blue lining gives the warmest, softest glow once illuminated, while picking up the tiny blue stitches woven through the embroidery, the whole shade feels light. Elegant. And quietly joyful, bit like an English summer that remembered to arrive.

This shade has a rather glamorous sister, made from the same shimmering linen but wearing a very different ribbon. They look rather lovely together... although they're equally happy stealing the limelight on their own. See the pics!
