Handmade drum lampshade using designer & vintage fabrics. Not every Seriously Shady lampshade shouts for attention. Some simply make a room breathe.

This handmade 30cm drum lampshade is wrapped in a beautiful duck egg blue fabric scattered with delicate leaf silhouettes, then lined with vintage pale blue linen that gives the light the softest, warmest glow. The two fabrics complement one another beautifully, creating a shade that's just as lovely switched off as it is illuminated.

I can't honestly tell you where this fabric came from. It found its way into my collection years ago and, for some reason, I've never quite been able to part with it. There's something wonderfully peaceful about it. It reminds me of quiet mornings, open windows and the sort of room you instantly feel relaxed in.

Whether it ends up beside your bed, on a reading lamp or hanging from the ceiling, it's designed to bring a little calm to busy spaces.

As always, each Seriously Shady lampshade is handmade in my Hampshire studio using carefully chosen fabrics, giving beautiful textiles another chance to shine instead of heading for landfill.
