I had no provenance story to tell you about it, but I did have an idea of what it could become.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeveral very long hours of gathering, stitching and generally wondering why I'd made life so difficult for myself later, Frilli Vanilli was born.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fabric is gathered all the way around the shade to create its soft, ruffled shape, with the delicate embroidered flowers catching the light beautifully. It's romantic without being twee, pretty without being boring, and just a little bit extra.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrilli Vanilli is particularly lovely when it's lit. The light filters through the cotton and catches the embroidered detail, while the gathered fabric creates all those lovely shadows and little variations around the edge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd yes, the name is a nod to Milli Vanilli.
